OPERATION GRANITE — SEASON II

Season II of OPERATION GRANITE is live. The world has been regenerated, the modpack has been rebuilt from a shorter and more opinionated list, and the previous world has been archived as a downloadable snapshot rather than deleted.

Changes of note

• Modpack reduced from 214 mods to 96. The removed mods were, in the technical assessment of the infrastructure team, mostly noise.
• Chunk-loading is now allocated per district rather than per player, which should end the recurring argument about whose farm is responsible for the tick rate.
• Backups moved to 30-minute intervals with 14-day retention.
• The northern rail spur is a collective project. It is roughly half built and extremely forgiving of inexperience.

Season I disposition

The Season I world snapshot is available in Dispatch. It will remain available indefinitely. Several people spent a hundred hours on structures in that world and deleting them to save four gigabytes would be a poor trade.
