SWORD

SWORD exists because several members wanted the parts of milsim that are actually good — coordination, planning, the moment a plan survives contact — without the parts that require calling someone 'sir' in a voice channel.

Sessions are planned, briefed, and run to a stated end time. There is a chain of command for the duration of the session and it dissolves the moment the session ends. Nobody holds a rank between Saturdays.

What a session looks like

1. 01Briefing. Ten minutes, maps and objectives, questions welcome.
2. 02Insertion. Roles assigned by preference where possible.
3. 03Execution. Radio discipline while contact is active, conversation otherwise.
4. 04Debrief. Short, blameless, and usually funnier than the operation.

New personnel are welcome at any session without prior experience. The learning curve is real, but it is a curve, not a wall, and the first session for anyone new is deliberately low-stakes.
